A 19-year-old Beaumont woman, Fandashia Guillory, tragically lost her life in a family violence-related shooting on Sunday evening. Authorities have arrested another 19-year-old woman, Ava Fay Musgrove, who is now facing a murder charge in connection with the incident.

At approximately 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024, Beaumont Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 4300 block of Fonville Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Guillory suffering from critical gunshot wounds. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The following morning, authorities confirmed Guillory’s identity and classified the case as a family violence-related homicide.

Beaumont Police announced on Monday that they had arrested Ava Fay Musgrove, also 19, as the primary suspect in the shooting. Musgrove has been charged with murder and is currently in custody. Police have not disclosed further details about the events leading up to the shooting, as the investigation is ongoing.
